BOYLE Sports has introduced a new betting feature, Sub Swap, designed to keep football wagers active even when a selected player is substituted during a match. The product is now available both in-store and online.
Sub Swap automatically transfers a customer’s bet to the incoming substitute if the original player is taken off, allowing the bet to remain valid across key player markets such as goalscorers, assists, shots, and bookings. The feature applies to a range of bet types including First Goalscorer, Anytime Goalscorer, Player Shots, and To Be Booked, among others.
The initiative follows BOYLE Sports’ recent recognition as Horse Racing Operator of the Year at the EGR Awards, reflecting continued product development across its sports betting offering. The company has positioned Sub Swap as an extension of its existing value-led products, such as Early Payout, aimed at enhancing engagement and retention among football bettors.
BOYLE Sports stated that Sub Swap was created to maintain player interest throughout the full 90 minutes, particularly in scenarios where substitutions or injuries could otherwise invalidate a wager. The feature forms part of the operator’s broader strategy to expand interactive betting options across its igaming and retail channels.
Adam Matues, Head of Sportsbook at BOYLE Sports, said: “Football is unpredictable and that’s why we all love it. But nothing frustrates fans more than seeing their player taken off early and the bet ending with them. Sub Swap changes that. It keeps bettors in play until the final whistle, gives them a fairer chance and reflects our commitment to making betting more exciting, more engaging.”
