Checkd Group Releases Annual Financial Results Across Divisions

Checkd Group, an iGaming media and technology company, reported a 38% increase in group revenues. This growth followed the introduction of the FlashPicks app in the US, the licensing of Smart Acca technology, and new video content that directed traffic to betting partners.

In the North American market, Checkd International noted an uptick in its contribution, accounting for 16% of the group’s total revenue. The FlashPicks app was introduced in sync with the MLB season and before the NFL’s start. This app utilizes the Smart Picks betting tool, which originates from Checkd’s Smart Acca technology. Additionally, FlashPicks expanded its reach with the app becoming available in more states and provinces.

Checkd Dev, responsible for creating sports betting tools and solutions, reported a 35% increase in its revenues from the previous year. The company managed the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game, including a version for the Qatar World Cup. They also developed the talkSPORT EDGE app for News UK, offering scores, betting odds, and offers.

Checkd Media, the group’s UK media segment, observed a 25% revenue increase year-on-year. They produced the video series “No Tippy Tappy Football with Sam Allardyce” for the 2022 World Cup. Subsequently, this series continued through the domestic football season and is slated for a return in the 2023-24 season, in collaboration with William Hill.

Modifications to the Betting Hub introduced new features and exclusive in-app offers, resulting in over 50,000 additional installations. Integration with the Xtremepush platform was also implemented, aiming to improve user metrics.

In audience metrics, UK brands under the Checkd Group added 160,000 new followers, including growth for the brand Footy Accumulators. In North America, FlashPicks added 100,000 followers across several social media platforms.

Alex Beecham, MD at Checkd Group said: “The growth we are seeing domestically and in North America is credit to the team setup within the Group. We’re continuing to scale the team and operations in each division following the momentum last season.

“We are forecasting similar growth levels this year with new states opening in North America for operators, the Euros this summer and additional betting tech solutions for partners launching.”
