MGM Resorts Foundation Allocates US$2.7 Million to Various Nonprofits

MGM Resorts Foundation has distributed grants exceeding $2.7 million to nonprofit entities across regions where MGM Resorts has operations. This includes areas like Southern Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Northeast Ohio, the DC Metropolitan area, and Western Massachusetts. A total of 107 nonprofits benefited from the Foundation’s Community Grant Fund. These nonprofits cater to diverse needs including affordable housing, K-12 education, family support, health, services for seniors, and assistance for veterans.

Central to the MGM Resorts Foundation’s efforts are its employees who consistently contribute to the Community Grant Fund. The allocation of these grants is determined by Community Grant Councils, which are committees comprising employee volunteers. These councils represent their specific regions and finalize the nonprofit recipients of the fund.

Since its inception in 2002, the MGM Resorts Foundation was envisioned as a platform for MGM Resorts employees to support charitable endeavors. Accumulatively, the Foundation has generated over $100 million in funds and extended support to more than 1,500 charitable bodies. Moreover, guests at MGM Resorts also have the opportunity to contribute to this igaming affiliated foundation.

“MGM Resorts employees continue to amaze us with their generosity and commitment to our local communities,” said Maria Gatti, Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Engagement. “On behalf of our 107 grant recipients, thank you for your donations and even more importantly, for enlivening our company’s belief in investing in our communities through giving as well as volunteerism.”
