Paf Partners with Gotland Alandia Cruise for Onboard Gaming

Paf, a leading Nordic gaming company, has announced a partnership with the newly established Gotland Alandia Cruise, to provide gaming entertainment onboard the M/S Birka Gotland. This initiative marks Paf’s entry into the cruise ship segment, enhancing the onboard experience for passengers starting in spring 2024.

The M/S Birka Gotland, part of Gotland Alandia Cruises, is the result of a collaborative venture between Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. These companies have joined forces to launch cruise services connecting Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby. Paf’s role will be to manage the gaming entertainment onboard, contributing to the overall leisure experience for cruise passengers.

The entertainment offerings on the M/S Birka Gotland are set to be diverse, including a range of restaurants, shops, spa facilities, and various entertainment options. Paf will oversee the slot machines and table games, integrating them seamlessly into the wider array of passenger amenities.

Cruise operations are scheduled to commence at the end of March 2024, initially connecting Stockholm and Mariehamn. The route will later expand to include Visby on Gotland, along with other popular destinations such as Härnösand and Ystad in Sweden, Bornholm in Denmark, and Riga in Latvia. This new venture represents a significant expansion for Paf, positioning it as a key player in the cruise ship gaming sector in the Nordic region.

“Paf is a well-established company and a natural partner for us. We are convinced that Paf can deliver a good package for the gaming experience onboard,” says Susanne Kaarnimo-Knight, CEO of Gotland Alandia Cruises AB.

“We are really looking forward to starting our cooperation straight away. We want to contribute with a good concept for the games onboard. It will be an exciting challenge to get all the new gaming machines and table games in place in the coming months,” says Jannik Svahnström, Head of New Sales at Paf.
