Yolo Group and Solaride Enter Partnership on Sustainable Tech Initiatives

Yolo Group, operating in gaming, fintech, and blockchain sectors, has established a partnership with Solaride, an Estonia-based initiative focused on sustainable technology education and entrepreneurship.

This collaboration will support Solaride’s objective to boost student engagement in technology sectors and raise awareness about clean energy.

As part of the collaboration, the Solaride SolarCar will display the Yolo Group logo during its participation in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia, a race that spans 3,000km from Darwin to Adelaide, scheduled for October 22.

In September, Mirjam Laurisaar of Yolo Group is slated to join a leadership training session with Solaride, emphasizing recruitment strategy workshops.

Solaride began in 2020 from a concept by two University of Tartu students with an aim to create a solar car in the Baltics. It has since expanded into a wider educational project focusing on technology education, involving various participants such as students, mentors, and partners.

Karl Tanel Paes, Head of Finance and Partnerships at Solaride, said: “Team Solaride is delighted to have Yolo Group as a sponsor. Their support will help us promote engineering and technology and through participation in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, the world’s toughest solar car competition, held in Australia we will reach our goal.” Paes added that the Solaride team is excited to present their solar car to the world and to inspire others with the help of Yolo Group.

Richard Barnwell, Head of Partnerships at Yolo Group, said: “We’ve been massively impressed by everything the Solaride team has achieved over the past three years. As well as the SolarCar itself, their commitment to nurturing the next generation of environmentally-conscious innovators is inspiring. They share our fun, fast and fair values, and we’ll be supporting them on the next step of this remarkable journey.”
