Andy Jenkins Receives 11-Year Ban for Match Fixing Offences

Darts player Andy Jenkins has received an 11-year suspension from all events governed by the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA), alongside a fine totalling £17,580.03, following an investigation into match-fixing and betting violations.

The DRA’s Disciplinary Committee found Jenkins guilty of fixing 12 matches between 22 February 2022 and 5 July 2023. It was also determined that he had passed on related information to bettors during that period.

The investigation was supported by the UK Gambling Commission’s Sports Betting Intelligence Unit (SBIU), which provided relevant intelligence as part of its ongoing collaboration with sporting bodies to uphold betting integrity across regulated markets, including igaming.

In addition to match-fixing offences, Jenkins admitted to placing 88 bets on darts matches using his own account between 17 March 2022 and 4 May 2023—directly breaching DRA rules prohibiting players from betting on any darts events.

Further information regarding the case is available on the official DRA website.

John Pierce, Commission Director of Enforcement, said: “This case sends a strong and unequivocal message to all sportspeople – if you fix matches, you are likely to be caught and face serious consequences.

“Betting customers in Britain deserve confidence that the markets they engage with are fair and free from corruption.

“Our Sports Betting Intelligence Unit will continue to work closely with partners such as the Darts Regulation Authority to identify and prevent match-fixing.”
