Bede Gaming Earns WLA Level 2 Certification

iGaming and lottery platform provider Bede Gaming has been awarded the World Lottery Association (WLA) Security Control Standard (WLA-SCS) Level 2 certification, marking a key milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to security and regulatory excellence.

The WLA-SCS is the only internationally recognised security standard specifically developed for the lottery and sports betting industries. Designed to align with best practices in information security, the certification supports WLA members and their suppliers in implementing robust, industry-specific controls.

As an associate member of the WLA and an active player in the North American igaming market, Bede Gaming completed the WLA’s certification process in the previous quarter. The Level 2 designation represents the highest level of certification and formally acknowledges Bede’s adherence to advanced security protocols and operational standards.

The successful certification highlights Bede’s ongoing investment in secure and compliant platform technology. The audit process, led by accredited assessors, confirmed the integrity of Bede’s controls and the quality of its risk management systems. Head of Risk & Compliance Gerrard Thompson credited the internal team for their role in securing the designation, noting the importance of strong collaboration in meeting international standards.

Thompson said: “Although Bede Gaming has long upheld the strict industry standards outlined by the WLA, gaining the organisation’s highest available certification is great validation of our high standards of operation and robust security measures.

“With WLA-SCS Level 2 now in place, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks for the hard work and effort of everyone in the Bede team for helping us achieve this important industry milestone.”
