Flashscore, the global live scores app, has been announced as the strategic partner of the Legends Charity Game in Lisbon on Monday, September 15, the day before SBC Summit. The event, organised by Sport Global, will see Portugal Legends face World Legends at Sporting’s Estádio José Alvalade, with the aim of raising €1m for charitable causes.
The Portugal team will be captained by Luis Figo and feature Ricardo Quaresma, Nani, Eliseu, Bruno Alves, Ricardo Carvalho and Pepe, while the World Legends side includes Kaka and Carles Puyol among its star names. The annual event will run until at least 2030.
Flashscore’s involvement includes acting as the official live score app for the match, providing player information and in-play data. With more than 100 million monthly users, including over 2 million in Portugal, the app is one of the country’s most widely used platforms for real-time sports updates.
Pavel Krbec, CEO of Flashscore parent company Livesport, said: “Our company has a proud history of supporting charitable initiatives through the Livesport Foundation and we are proud to be involved with the Lisbon Charity Game.
“We are also thrilled that our technology that is enjoyed by millions of sports fans around the world will be used to enhance the match experience for those at the game and those who will follow the action through our app and websites.
“Portugal is among our top 10 markets, with more than 2 million monthly users enjoying Flashscore. Our partnership with the Legends Charity Game is a natural fit as we continue to strengthen our position in this market of sports lovers.”
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of Sport Global, said: “Flashscore are the perfect partners for the Legends Charity Game. With the official livescore app they will provide football fans in the Jose Alvalade stadium and across the globe an unrivalled matchday experience.
“The Legends Charity Game brings together the greatest Portuguese footballers of their generation, taking on a squad of household names from across the globe, to raise more than €1 million for our four selected charities.
“We thank Pavel and all his team for their collaboration on this historic event.”
