iGaming News has named Press Box PR as the official sponsor of its Women in iGaming initiative, establishing a partnership focused on highlighting the contribution of women working across the igaming and sports betting industry.
Press Box PR operates as a communications agency specialising in digital and traditional public relations services for companies involved in igaming and sports betting. Through the agreement, the agency will support the Women in iGaming programme, which aims to profile and promote female professionals across different areas of the igaming sector.
As part of the collaboration, iGaming News has introduced a new award category at its inaugural iGaming News Awards titled “Woman of Influence”. The category, sponsored by Press Box PR, is intended to recognise women working in igaming who have played a role in shaping business development, leadership and innovation within the industry.
The partnership will also include a series of editorial features and multimedia content across the iGaming News platform. These will include interviews, podcast discussions and campaign-led coverage examining the careers and professional experiences of women working within the igaming market.
According to the organisations involved, the initiative aims to increase visibility for women across different segments of the igaming industry, including technology, operations, marketing and corporate leadership roles. The collaboration combines iGaming News’ editorial platform with Press Box PR’s communications experience and network of clients operating in the igaming and sports betting sector.
Industry initiatives focused on diversity and representation have become more prominent across the igaming sector in recent years, with organisations and media platforms launching programmes designed to highlight career pathways and professional contributions within the regulated igaming market.
Abigail Welch, Editor of iGaming News, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Press Box PR as the official sponsor of our Women in iGaming initiative. Their expertise in digital PR will help us bring the incredible stories of women across the industry to a wider audience. This partnership is about celebrating women every day, supporting their achievements and inspiring the next generation of leaders.”
Sarah Williams, B2B account manager for Press Box PR, said: “We’re thrilled to be a part of iGaming News’ Women in iGaming initiative! With International Women’s Day coming up this Sunday as well as March being Women’s History Month, there’s no better time to announce this fantastic partnership. By putting our time, money and effort behind initiatives like Women in iGaming, Press Box PR is showing support all year long, not just on certain days or months.
“While we are certainly seeing more women excelling and leading in the industry, only about 16% of executive-level roles in the sector are held by women, according to the latest 2025 data from the Gambling Survey for Great Britain. I hope that by shining a light on the skilled women in this industry, we can see that representation increase.”
