Immense Group has appointed Joonas Karhu as Managing Director, Finland, as the igaming operator group continues to focus on strengthening its position across regulated Nordic markets. Based in Helsinki, Karhu will oversee the company’s strategic activities in Finland, including partnership development, media engagement and long-term market positioning for its casino and betting brands.
Immense Group has been consolidating its multi-brand structure in recent months, reinforcing the presence of brands such as DBET, Mr Vegas, Videoslots, Kungaslottet and Mega Riches across regulated European jurisdictions. The appointment forms part of a broader effort to build local leadership capability within the Nordic igaming sector.
Karhu brings more than 15 years of experience in igaming, spanning affiliate, operator and commercial leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Head of Casino at North Star, where he oversaw casino operations and the integration of Bojoko into the wider business. He co-founded Bojoko in 2017 and held senior leadership roles, including Chief Business Officer and Chief Executive Officer, during its expansion in regulated markets.
Karhu previously worked within Immense Group between 2016 and 2017 as Country Manager for Finland, providing prior familiarity with the group’s brands and operating model as it continues to expand its igaming footprint in the Nordic region.
