PokerStars Wins Multiple Awards at the 6th Annual Global Poker Awards

PokerStars and its associates achieved significant recognition at the 6th annual Global Poker Awards held in Las Vegas, securing a total of 10 trophies. The awards celebrated the brand’s success in providing engaging poker entertainment, with accolades for the creative team, ambassadors, and live events.

PokerStars’ strong presence in the poker industry was highlighted with multiple wins, showcasing the company’s continued influence and popularity. Among the standout achievements was the success of PokerStars creators Ben “Spraggy” Spragg and Marle Spragg, who each won their second Global Poker Award. Spraggy was awarded Best Streamer for the second time, while Marle received the Best Short-Form Content Creator award.

Industry veteran Francine Watson, a key figure behind PokerStars’ content and creative projects, won the Best Industry Person award. Additionally, Watson collected the Best Episodic Poker Series award for The Big Game on Tour, a project she spearheaded.

The accolades also highlighted the remarkable achievements of PokerStars Pro Barny Boatman, who received the Best Final Table Performance award after a standout year. EPT photographer Danny Maxwell also took home the Best Media Content – Photo award for his iconic “Barny GOATMAN” image.

PokerStars-sponsored events also earned recognition, with the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) winning Best Mid-Major Tour/Circuit and the Irish Poker Open winning Best Stand-Alone Festival/Series. Meanwhile, The Big Game on Tour stars Rania Nasreddine and Nikki Limo won GPI Breakout Star and Best Media Content: Short-Form Video, respectively.

These accomplishments at the Global Poker Awards position PokerStars for another successful year, with upcoming events such as the next season of The Big Game on Tour and the launch of the European live series PokerStars Open in Italy.
