Relax Gaming has entered into a licensing agreement with Stakelogic to integrate the latter’s proprietary ClusterBreaker mechanic into its igaming content offering. The deal enables Relax Gaming to deploy the feature across its operator network, expanding the reach of the gameplay mechanic initially launched by Stakelogic in late 2024.
ClusterBreaker first appeared in Fire & Gold ClusterBreaker and has since been positioned as a distinct alternative to traditional cluster pay mechanics. The feature introduces dynamic symbol splitting, which allows symbols to divide into two, three, or four smaller segments during gameplay, increasing the potential for multiple winning combinations.
Designed with mobile optimisation in mind, ClusterBreaker operates effectively on reduced grid layouts compared to standard 9×9 cluster formats, aiming to improve clarity and user experience across devices. This aligns with ongoing industry trends toward mobile-first slot development and modular design.
The agreement marks a strategic development for both companies. For Relax Gaming, it adds a differentiated mechanic to its aggregation platform, while for Stakelogic, it represents broader distribution of its in-house IP to new audiences within regulated igaming markets.
Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic, said: “Our ClusterBreaker mechanic has set a new standard in cluster-based gaming by combining simplicity with thrilling winning potential. Partnering with Relax Gaming allows us to expand its reach and let even more players experience something truly special. We’re excited to see the impact this will have on player engagement across Relax Gaming’s extensive network.”
Martin Stålros, CEO of Relax Gaming, said: “Relax Gaming is always striving to drive differentiation and incorporate innovative features that will provide a competitive advantage in the industry – the ClusterBreaker mechanic from Stakelogic is exactly that. Its dynamic symbol mechanics and mobile optimisation make it a valuable addition, and we believe players will be thrilled with the results.”
