Yaspa, the UK-based fintech specialising in payments and identity solutions for regulated industries including igaming, has appointed Renuka Rawlins as Head of Policy and Public Affairs. Rawlins joins from Revolut, where she served as Government Affairs and Policy Manager, and will lead Yaspa’s policy team from its London head office.
Her remit will include developing relationships with regulators across the UK, EU and international markets, shaping policy, and strengthening engagement with industry stakeholders as Yaspa expands its role in the payments sector. The company has highlighted igaming as a key vertical where its real-time Intelligent Payments solution is particularly applicable, supporting compliance, responsible gambling measures and optimised payment processes.
The appointment follows Yaspa’s recent $12m investment round led by Discerning Capital and its domestic expansion with a new tech hub in Leeds. The firm has also established a US entity in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of its North American growth strategy.
Led by CEO and co-founder James Neville, Yaspa has grown from 15 to 70 staff in the past 18 months.
