Abios, the esports subsidiary of Kambi Group plc (“Kambi”), has named Anton Janér, the current Chief Technology Officer (CTO), as its new Managing Director. Janér steps into this role following the departure of Abios’ long-standing CEO, Oskar Bonnevier Fröberg, who is pursuing new ventures.
As a co-founder of Abios alongside Fröberg in 2013, Janér brings a wealth of experience in technology and a profound understanding of the esports market to his new position. Serving as CTO, Janér played a pivotal role in the development of Abios’ cutting-edge esports solutions, positioning the company as a leader in the industry.
Under Fröberg’s leadership for over a decade, Abios has experienced remarkable growth, reaching millions of esports enthusiasts worldwide. The company has become a cornerstone for businesses across esports, media, betting, and entertainment sectors, employing approximately 70 professionals globally.
Fröberg’s tenure also saw Abios successfully navigate its acquisition by Kambi Group in 2021. His strategic guidance ensured a seamless integration within the Kambi Group, reinforcing Abios’ foothold in the esports betting landscape.
As Abios transitions to new leadership, the company remains committed to delivering innovative esports solutions and maintaining its position as a key player in the rapidly evolving igaming industry.
