Alea returns to SBC Summit Malta this year as a finalist for both Game Aggregator of the Year and Employer of the Year. For the company, these nominations are inseparable, reflecting the belief that a high-performing product can only exist on a foundation of a strong internal culture. Founder Alexandre Tomic and COO Ramon Glieneke will join the speaker lineup to address the operational realities and technical shifts currently defining the industry.
Malta remains the primary hub for iGaming, where the industry operates on a daily level. With a significant part of the Alea team based on the island, the event is a central point for connecting with partners and talent. This on-the-ground presence keeps the team directly connected to the market’s operational needs and the technical nuances of the European landscape.
Alea on Stage
To contribute to the event’s focus on the future of the market, Alea’s leadership will participate in two panel discussions:
- Casino vs Sports: Can Gamification Truly Cross Over? Alexandre Tomic joins the Product Visionaries stage (April 29, 10:45h, Conference Room 2) to explore if gamification can drive loyalty across verticals or if the appetite is more niche than hype. He will be joined by Brian Christner (Grand Casino Baden), Alexis Wicén (Unibo Ltd), and Mykhailo Kachanov (SlotCatalog.com), with Shahar Attias (Hybrid Interaction) moderating.
- The COO Horizon: Challenges and Opportunities in 2026/27 Ramon Glieneke joins the Risk, Regulation & Resilience stage (April 29, 15:00h, Conference Room 3) to discuss the major operational challenges and opportunities marking the industry over the next two years. The panel features Tim De Borle (Casumo), Chris McGowan (Scatters), and Tom McGovern (Flutter UKI), moderated by Joe Streeter (iGaming Expert).
The Tribe Behind the Tech
The nominations for Game Aggregator and Employer of the Year highlight the link between Alea’s internal tribe culture and its technical reliability. The company views its workplace dynamics as the engine that drives its API governance and platform stability.
“Quality comes from ownership, not just execution. That’s been at the core of Alea since day one. We’ve always focused on building an environment and a tribe where people feel trusted and take real responsibility for what they’re creating.
Seeing us nominated for both our product and our culture is a meaningful milestone. It shows that the foundation we’ve built is working, and that the team’s approach is consistent across everything we do,” said Alexandre Tomic, Founder of Alea.
Meet the Tribe in Malta
Alea will be on the ground with a multidisciplinary presence spanning Business Development, Account Management, Partnerships, and Marketing. Based at Booth D22, the team is heading to SBC Summit Malta to support partners, map out Q2 growth strategies, and present new projects for the year.
