Arnold Ash, an executive recruitment specialist, has reinforced its support for grassroots sports by sponsoring the Arthurian League representative team in the UEFA Regions Cup 2024.
The England team will commence its campaign in Helsinki, Finland, with an opening fixture against Lisbon on Wednesday, July 31. The squad will then proceed with matches against Finland’s Lansi-Vantaan Ylpeys on Saturday, August 3, and Latvia’s representative team on Tuesday, August 6.
The UEFA Regions’ Cup, an amateur competition running for over two decades, showcases players who have never played at a professional level, highlighting the high caliber of talent in European football.
As part of the sponsorship, Arnold Ash’s logo will be prominently displayed on the team’s white and navy home kit. Additionally, the executive recruitment and talent advisory firm will feature on the tournament’s online and social channels.
The Arthurian League, established in 1961, consists of clubs formed by former public school pupils, including alumni from Eton College, Harrow School, and Epsom College. With more than 55 member clubs, the league has a rich tradition of fostering football talent.
Arnold Ash is known for supporting community-driven causes across various sports. Earlier this year, the company backed the Gloves and Doves initiative, promoting unity and coexistence in Israel and the Middle East. They also sponsor boxer ‘Razor Ali,’ an Iranian refugee based in London.
Jon Arnold, CEO at Arnold Ash, said: “We are delighted to back this unmistakably talented soccer team as they journey across the continent and represent England at the UEFA Regions’ Cup 2024. The rep team is comprised of some of the best players in amateur football and as a huge football fan myself, I wish them all the luck in the world as they kick off with their first game on Wednesday.
“Supporting good causes and positively impacting communities is something we are hugely passionate about at Arnold Ash and there is more to come in the sport and charity space in the coming months.”
Billy Jenkins, Manager of the Arthurian League representative team, said: “As our boys head out to Finland this week, we thank Arnold Ash for their continued support.
“I know Jon and his team join me in wishing the representatives good luck against some of Europe’s best players. Championing amateur sports ensures we can nurture the talent of tomorrow and give young people a platform to show off their skills.”
