AvatarUX Secures Romanian Licence for iGaming Expansion

AvatarUX has received a Class II licence from Romania’s National Gaming Office (ONJN), granting the studio authorisation to offer its slot portfolio to licensed igaming operators in the country.

The licence marks a strategic step in AvatarUX’s broader European growth plan, enabling it to enter Romania’s regulated market for the first time. The rollout will see the supplier make its full range of games available, including titles that feature the studio’s proprietary mechanics such as PopWins™, ZapReel™, Loaded Reel, and Wild Reel.

Known for its focus on interactive gameplay and feature-rich design, AvatarUX intends to introduce Romanian players to its distinctive style, gradually building local availability through partnerships with domestic operators.

The move comes as Romania continues to show strong momentum as a regulated igaming market, offering growth potential for suppliers targeting players who are increasingly seeking innovative slot experiences. The licence further reflects AvatarUX’s commitment to regulatory compliance and strategic market entry across Europe.

Lara Falzon, CEO at AvatarUX, commented: “Securing our Romanian licence is an important step in our ongoing growth journey. We’ve always taken pride in balancing high-octane action with compliant, responsible products, and this milestone is another sign of our commitment to expanding in a player-centric way.

“Alongside our hugely popular PopWins™ collection, we’ve launched a range of fresh mechanics that push the boundaries of slot gameplay. We’re confident our portfolio will be a breath of fresh air for Romanian players and truly stand out in a competitive market.”
