BETER Achieves ESIC Gold Standard for Esports Integrity

BETER has received Gold Standard Accreditation from the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), the highest recognition awarded by the organisation for integrity in esports betting. This follows BETER’s recent designation as a Tier 1 Anti-Corruption Supporter earlier in May, further strengthening its position within the igaming industry as a provider focused on compliance and fair play.

The accreditation was granted following an in-depth audit of BETER’s operations, specifically its ESportsBattle tournaments, which generate more than 36,000 events monthly. The evaluation assessed the company’s adherence to ESIC’s integrity framework, which outlines best practices for tournament governance, security, and participant welfare.

Key areas of the audit included organisational governance, educational initiatives, physical security protocols, surveillance systems, device restrictions, referee oversight, and overall compliance with ESIC standards. The process is designed to ensure that esports tournaments are conducted with a high degree of transparency and fairness.

BETER’s internal Integrity team plays a central role in maintaining operational oversight across its esports events. Initiatives such as athlete e-learning programmes, whistleblowing channels, the Integrity BOOTCAMP, and collaboration with law enforcement and sports bodies support a comprehensive risk mitigation framework. According to BETER, fewer than 0.01% of its events over the past year were flagged for suspicious activity.

This accreditation places BETER among a limited group of esports organisers globally to have achieved ESIC’s Gold Standard, marking a significant step in its broader integrity and compliance strategy within the igaming sector.

Andrii Nekrutov, Chief Integrity Officer at BETER, commented: “This is a major milestone for both our Integrity team and the entire BETER organization. It reflects the strict measures and unwavering commitment to fair play that we uphold in all ESportsBattle tournaments.

“We are one of the most experienced esports betting content providers in the industry, and our educational programs are second to none. This Gold Standard accreditation further strengthens our mission to eradicate match-fixing and promote transparency and fairness in esports and beyond.”

Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC, added: “BETER joins a prestigious group of esports content providers who meet the exceptionally high standards required for ESIC Gold Standard Accreditation.

“This accreditation is reserved for operators and providers who show an uncompromising commitment to stamping out match-fixing and investing in robust anti-corruption education and awareness. We congratulate BETER on meeting these demanding standards. Each new certification strengthens trust and safeguards the future of esports.”
