Betsson Group has announced its acquisition of Holland Gaming Technology Ltd, a licensed gaming operator in the Netherlands, and Holland Power Gaming B.V., a game development studio. The acquisition, valued at €27.5 million (£23.5 million/US$29.6 million) on a cash- and debt-free basis, leverages Betsson’s own funds for the transaction.
Holland Gaming Technology Ltd operates under a Dutch gaming license, offering casino games through its platforms, www.goldruncasino.nl and www.goldruncasino.com. Holland Power Gaming B.V., on the other hand, specializes in creating casino games exclusively for Holland Gaming Technology Ltd.
The transaction was finalized on 19 February 2024, with an initial payment of €16 million at closing. Deferred payments of €9 million and €2.5 million are scheduled for six and twelve months post-closing, respectively.
This strategic acquisition aligns with Betsson’s objective to enhance its revenue from regulated markets and underscores its commitment to profitable growth through geographical diversification. The acquisition awaits post-closing approval from the Dutch gambling regulator, KSA.
