Betway Named Formula 1 Official Betting Operator

Betway has been appointed the first Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 under a multi-year agreement announced by Super Group, the parent company of the iGaming and sports betting brand.

The partnership marks the first time the global motorsport series has formally designated an official betting partner within its commercial structure.

Betway operates as part of Super Group (SGHC) Limited, which also owns the Spin online casino platform.

Through the agreement, Betway’s sportsbook will integrate betting-related data and analytics connected to Formula 1 events as part of its iGaming and sports wagering offering.

Partnership

The partnership will incorporate data services developed with support from ALT Sports Data, which acts as the Official Betting Data Supplier for the series.

The collaboration is expected to use Formula 1’s race data to produce predictive analytics and betting-related information for sportsbook markets connected to the sport.

According to the companies, this will include the creation of proprietary data products and priced odds solutions linked to Formula 1 race events.

Within the Betway sportsbook, the integration of official data is intended to support a range of in-play betting markets related to race strategy and on-track developments.

These markets may include events such as safety car deployments, pit strategy windows and race position battles between drivers and teams. The use of official data feeds is designed to provide structured information that sportsbook operators can use to price and manage betting markets within the iGaming ecosystem.

Race Data

Formula 1 generates large volumes of race data through its timing systems, telemetry and operational monitoring across teams and circuits. The partnership with Betway introduces the use of that information within sportsbook markets, reflecting a broader trend in the iGaming sector where official sports data is increasingly used to support live betting products and analytics-driven wagering experiences.

The agreement comes ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season, which will introduce new technical regulations affecting car design and performance. Betway has previously established a presence in the sport through a branding partnership with Atlassian Williams Racing that began during the previous season.

For Super Group, the partnership extends the visibility of its Betway brand within global sport while linking its sportsbook offering to a major international motorsport series.

For Formula 1, the agreement represents the first formalised betting operator partnership connected to the sport’s commercial programme and reflects the continued expansion of betting-related partnerships within the global iGaming and sports betting sector.

Thrilling

Neal Menashe, CEO, Super Group, commented: “We are thrilled to sign our Betway sportsbook brand to the first deal of its kind in Formula 1.

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to sport at the highest level and will ensure our customers have access to some of the most innovative markets during race weekends. It promises to be a competitive season with fantastic races across the globe . We look forward to being a part of it.”

Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships, Formula 1, said: “Sports betting is now a natural extension of how many modern fans engage with live events.

“As a series with vast and complex data sets, our innovative partnership with Betway allows our adult fans to take a step closer to the strategy and action that makes it so thrilling.

“While betting and sport have long gone hand in hand, this new product offering based on real-time and regulated data takes Formula 1 into a new cutting-edge dimension that offers event more engagement and excitement for fans.”
