BGaming Supports Urban Nature Project in Portugal with €10,000 Donation

BGaming, a well-known provider in the iGaming industry, has made a meaningful contribution to the European Intercultural Club in Lisbon, supporting a biodiversity education program designed to foster community cohesion and enhance children’s artistic skills.

This summer, BGaming donated €10,000 to the non-profit organization, which focuses on youth education, training, and employability. The donation has funded essential repairs and other organizational needs, with part of the funds allocated to a new initiative aimed at skill development for young people.

The program, called “Urban Nature Project – A Macro Story,” aims to engage students in their urban environment through a multi-disciplinary approach. Led by acclaimed cinematic artist Gonçalo Almeida, the project combines elements of nature with film and audiovisual techniques. Students will take nature walks, then collaborate with Almeida to learn cinema fundamentals, such as narrative development, filming, and editing. This hands-on experience seeks to foster environmental awareness, nurture creative skills, and strengthen the connection between the community, schools, and the natural environment.

Gonçalo Almeida, a renowned Portuguese filmmaker, brings a wealth of experience to the project, having directed numerous critically acclaimed works in the fantasy genre, including Faz-Me Companhia, The Girl from Saturn, and The Advent.

This project is BGaming’s third charitable initiative in 2024, following donations to a Brazilian art institute and a youth chess center in Poland. Through these contributions, BGaming continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting creative and educational causes around the globe.

Marina Ostrovtsova, CEO at BGaming, said: “Creativity is a proven way to support young children’s development, and we take joy in donating to valuable causes that champion this. Just as BGaming is dedicated to producing the most creative games on the market, we are committed to building strong communities through art.

“The children at The European Intercultural Club are sure to benefit from their time taking part in this semester-long project and we can’t wait to hear about the results.”

Ana Quintela, General Coordinator at The European Intercultural Club, added: “We’re happy that BGaming reached out to us, enabling the local school to implement a cinema workshop project.

“This donation came at the perfect time, allowing us to support an educational initiative that aligns with our community’s needs.”
