Casino Guru has broadened its collaboration with BetBlocker to deliver a localized version of the self-exclusion tool in Finland. The move allows BetBlocker, a UK and US charity, to extend its blocking software and support services into the Finnish market, with resources now available in the local language.
Casino Guru has placed responsible gambling at the centre of its wider industry initiatives, including the Safety Index, the Global Self-Exclusion Initiative, and the Casino Guru Academy, as well as through recognition programmes such as the Casino Guru Awards. The partnership with BetBlocker reflects both organisations’ shared approach to removing language barriers, enabling players worldwide to access safer gambling tools in their native languages.
The initiative follows data from a 2023 Finnish government report which found around 4% of the population at moderate risk of gambling-related harm. By supporting BetBlocker’s expansion into Finland, Casino Guru aims to address this challenge by ensuring that self-exclusion and safer gambling resources are accessible to those most in need. The collaboration has also coincided with Casino Guru being named a finalist in VIXIO’s Global Regulatory Awards 2025 for its contribution to safer gambling.
