DraftKings has been granted a direct mobile sports betting license by the Missouri Gaming Commission, allowing the operator to launch its sportsbook independently across the state without requiring an affiliation with a casino or professional sports team. Pending final regulatory approvals, the company expects to go live on Missouri’s universal launch date of December 1, 2025.
Once operational, Missouri will become the 29th U.S. state where DraftKings offers regulated sports betting, alongside Washington D.C. and Ontario, Canada. The operator has outlined plans to make its responsible gaming tools available to Missouri customers, including My Stat Sheet, which tracks individual player activity, and My Budget Builder, a system designed to help set limits and reminders.
DraftKings also reiterated its commitment to supporting local communities through its S.E.R.V.E.S. initiative, which funds inclusive and responsible opportunities in the states where it operates. Earlier in 2025, the operator contributed to the St. Louis Tornado Response Fund, aiding recovery efforts following severe weather in the region.
The license marks another step in DraftKings’ wider North American igaming expansion, where competition in newly regulated markets continues to grow.
“We’re pleased to secure one of two direct mobile licenses in Missouri — paving the way for us to bring DraftKings’ industry-leading online sportsbook to fans across the state,” said Matt Kalish, President, DraftKings North America. “Missouri is home to several professional teams and deeply passionate fanbases, and we look forward to enhancing their sports experience with a dynamic and responsible mobile platform.”
