PENN Entertainment is set to introduce FanCenter, a new personalised feature within its ESPN BET sportsbook platform, aimed at strengthening the connection between media, igaming and fantasy sports users. The update leverages integration with the broader ESPN ecosystem and is expected to launch this summer.
FanCenter will serve as a dedicated hub for ESPN BET users, offering curated wagering markets based on individual preferences such as favourite teams, players, and fantasy football rosters. This functionality is enabled through account-linking technology that connects ESPN BET with users’ ESPN App profiles and fantasy teams.
The feature includes a personalised “For You” page showcasing relevant player props and game markets, a Fantasy Bet Builder to surface bets linked to fantasy rosters, and integrated player insights for reviewing stats and trends. A new “Find a Bet” icon within the ESPN Fantasy app will also allow users to identify betting opportunities directly from their fantasy interface and transfer selections into ESPN BET.
The development is part of PENN’s strategy to differentiate ESPN BET in a crowded US igaming market by using ESPN’s existing user base and fantasy sports leadership. ESPN Fantasy Football, which attracted over 13 million users in 2024, continues to be a core channel for cross-platform engagement.
“FanCenter introduces a completely new level of personalisation for ESPN BET players and represents our biggest product leap yet,” said Aaron LaBerge, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Interactive at PENN Entertainment. “It taps into our players’ fandom in smart, creative ways while connecting seamlessly with ESPN’s industry-leading fantasy football platform. This is what sets ESPN BET apart and football season is the perfect time to roll it out.”
“FanCenter is the perfect combination of fandom, fantasy and personalised betting all wrapped into the ESPN BET betting experience,” said Mike Morrison, Vice President, ESPN BET and ESPN Fantasy. “FanCenter showcases how we can serve fans across our platforms in a way that nobody else in the market can because of our industry-leading ESPN Fantasy platform and account-linking capabilities.”
