Ethical Gambling Forum 2025 to Address ESG and Industry Accountability

The Fourth Annual Ethical Gambling Forum is set to take place on April 29-30, 2025, aboard the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in Gibraltar. This year’s event will focus on Sustainability, Accountability, and Culture in the gambling industry, exploring the role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives under the theme “Why ESG Really Matters.”

As ESG reporting becomes increasingly prominent across industries, many gambling operators are adopting the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). However, the forum will extend beyond compliance and traditional reporting frameworks, offering a platform for operators to explore tangible, ethical, and responsible business practices. Topics will cover workplace culture, recruitment, duty of care, and industry-wide collaboration, with an emphasis on integrating sustainability and ethical considerations into daily operations.

The forum will highlight key themes such as the importance of sustainability in gambling, best practices for ethical operations, and the role of industry collaboration in fostering a safer gambling environment. Discussions will also address lived experiences in gambling, the necessity of ongoing education in responsible gaming, and the governance measures essential for regulatory compliance, including anti-money laundering protocols and suspicious activity reporting.

Delegates will have the opportunity to engage with a distinguished panel of industry executives, regulators, responsible gambling specialists, and HR professionals. Through case studies and expert-led discussions, attendees will gain actionable insights into how operators can enhance accountability and sustainability while maintaining commercial success.

The event aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue on the evolving role of ESG in the gambling sector, ensuring that responsible gambling practices remain a core consideration in shaping the industry’s future.
