FanDuel, the leading US brand under Flutter Entertainment, has introduced a new responsible gaming feature called Real-Time Check-In, aimed at enhancing player protection across its igaming and online sports betting platforms.
The announcement was made during the Player Protection Symposium at SBC Summit Americas by Cory Fox, Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability at FanDuel. The new tool leverages machine learning to monitor deposit behaviour and identify activity that deviates from a customer’s typical patterns. When such a variance is detected, the system prompts the customer to review their deposit and provides options to modify the amount, set deposit limits, or access spending history via the My Spend tool.
Real-Time Check-In draws on the Real Time Intervention model originally developed by Flutter brand Sportsbet, which has been operational in Australia since 2022. That system now supports safer gambling interventions for 90% of Sportsbet users. The deployment of this technology in the US represents an expansion of the Flutter Edge strategy—sharing data-driven player protection tools across brands and markets.
This latest initiative adds to FanDuel’s existing suite of responsible gaming features and forms part of a broader commitment to ensuring customers can engage with igaming products sustainably.
