Fundación Flutter Wins CSR Institution of the Year Award

Fundación Flutter has been named Institution of the Year at the 7th International Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards, recognising its initiatives focused on community support, sustainability, and social impact in Ceuta.

Established in May 2024 by Flutter Entertainment, Fundación Flutter has launched a series of regional programmes in education, healthcare, food security and sport. Among these is the STEM Scholarship Program, developed in partnership with Ceuta’s Department of Education, which allocated €80,000 for students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The award jury also highlighted the Foundation’s oncology nutrition initiative, delivered with the Spanish Association of Cancer Patients (AECC Ceuta), and its financial support for the Ceuta Food Bank’s new logistics facility. The warehouse expansion is expected to increase food distribution capacity by 25% and benefit more than 1,200 families monthly.

In sport, Fundación Flutter’s “Flutter x el deporte” programme has provided resources to local projects that promote inclusion, accessibility, and grassroots participation, including support for adapted sports.

The jury cited both the scope of these projects and Fundación Flutter’s alignment with the wider goals of Flutter Entertainment’s Positive Impact Plan, which targets outreach to 10 million people globally by 2030. The CSR recognition reflects the Foundation’s early operational footprint and long-term strategic vision.

Jacqueline Mecinas, President of the Jury at the International Responsible Gaming and CSR Award said: “We are delighted to award the Flutter Foundation the Institution of the Year award. In just over a year, it has demonstrated how corporate commitment can translate into tangible and sustainable change for thousands of people. Flutter’s work in Ceuta, from STEM scholarships to combating food insecurity, exemplifies a bold, inclusive vision of corporate social responsibility focused on education, health, nutrition, and sports with a strong commitment to equality and social justice.

“It is a true honor to recognize Flutter with this award in an edition that reaffirms that responsible gaming is not only measured by prevention, but also by contributing to the common good.”

Esther Martín-Ortega, Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability, Spain & Other Countries at Flutter International said: “This award is a testament to the power of collaboration and commitment. We are incredibly proud to be recognized for the positive impact of our CSR initiatives in Ceuta and Spain, as a whole. This inspires us to continue empowering communities and work towards a more sustainable future.”
