Genius Sports has expanded its interactive betting technology with the launch of BetVision for soccer, marking the product’s entry into the world’s most-watched sport. The development introduces an in-game wagering platform designed to enhance fan engagement and increase operator in-play revenue.
The newly launched BetVision for soccer gives sportsbook operators access to more than 120 top-tier global competitions, including France’s Ligue 1, Brazil’s Série A, the Dutch Eredivisie, Turkey’s Süper Lig, and UEFA Champions League qualifiers. As part of the rollout, Genius Sports has partnered with sports marketing agency Infront to incorporate premium live video content into the experience.
The BetVision platform overlays real-time data and AI-powered visualisations onto live broadcasts, offering features such as player highlights, dynamic bet tracking, and personalised insights. A central feature of the product is “Touch-to-Bet,” which allows users to interact directly with a player on screen and view relevant betting markets in real time. These tools are integrated within a single interactive interface to streamline the user journey from viewing to wagering.
Genius Sports previously introduced BetVision for NFL games in 2023, where it was adopted by operators including DraftKings, FanDuel, and Caesars Entertainment. The product was credited with enhancing customer engagement by combining live video with betting functionality and customisable viewing options. The soccer launch represents a continuation of Genius Sports’ strategy to offer immersive igaming solutions tailored to individual sports and regional markets.
