ICE Barcelona Expands with New Hall for Gaming’s Technology, Data and Fintech Leaders

WorldGaming is expanding ICE Barcelona 2027 with the launch of a dedicated Digital and FinTech Transformation Hall, developed in consultation with an advisory board of senior gaming technology leaders.

Taking place from 18-20 January 2027, ICE Barcelona will add the entirely new Hall 7, creating a focused platform for the technologies reshaping the global gaming industry.

From AI, data and cloud infrastructure to cybersecurity, payments, compliance and real-time customer engagement, the Digital and FinTech Transformation Hall will showcase the systems and solutions now central to operational performance, customer experience and long-term growth.

The new hall will also feature a dedicated show-floor conference programme, giving the leaders responsible for managing technological change across gaming businesses a forum to share best practice, explore emerging challenges and discuss the next phase of digital transformation.

WorldGaming is also targeting new exhibitors from the wider technology ecosystem, alongside established gaming industry specialists, to reflect the growing convergence between gaming, enterprise technology, data, payments and fintech.

Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director for ICE Barcelona, said: “Gaming businesses are being transformed by the same forces reshaping every major digital industry: cloud, data, AI, payments innovation, cybersecurity and real-time customer intelligence.

“These functions are now central to growth, resilience, compliance and customer experience. The Digital and FinTech Transformation Hall will give operators, suppliers, technology partners and finance leaders a dedicated platform to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the next evolution of gaming.”

To ensure the hub reflects the industry’s priorities, WorldGaming has established an advisory board made up of senior leaders from gaming, technology, AI, product, data and fintech. The board is helping shape the show floor conference content, exhibitor proposition and visitor experience.

The advisory board is made up of the following executives

• Chris Conroy, Chief Data and Product Officer, Future Anthem;

• Cris Kuehl, Chief Data, Information & AI Officer, Continent 8 Technologies;

• Cristina Turbatu, Technology & AI Executive, former CTO of Casumo

• Elena Rousseva, CEO, Playtech Services;

• Iulia Bolea, Territory Lead, iGaming & Entertainment UK, Microsoft;

• Konstantinos Papakonstantinou, Head of AI, Kaizen Gaming;

• Manuel Pardavila, Head of Consumer Goods Business Unit, Microsoft;

• Satty Bhens, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Entain;

• Sergey Kastukevich, CTO, SOFTSWISS | Organiser, Tech Race Summit;

• Yiannis Stavroulakis, CTO, Novibet.

“The strength of the advisory board reflects the importance of this initiative,” Dunn added. “Their input is helping us build a hall that is solution-driven, commercially relevant and focused on the issues technology leaders are dealing with every day.”
