iGaming AFRIKA SUMMIT 2026 Charity Football Tournament to raise US$10,000

iGaming AFRIKA Summit 2026 marked a historic milestone in corporate social  responsibility as the Goan Gymkhana’s grounds played host to the inaugural iGaming AFRIKA  Charity Football Tournament in conjunction with Choplife Gaming. The tournament aims to raise  USD 10,000 to fund the construction of sanitation facilities in informal settlements across Africa.

Six teams competed across the afternoon in a spirited contest that blended grassroots football  talent with iGaming industry participants, including a squad from Mayfair Casino Nairobi and  Harambee Stars former players. The winning team walked away with a cash prize of USD 1,000,  with the runners-up claiming USD 500 but the true winner of the day was the community.

“Football has always been the language of the streets. It belongs to the young people who grow  up with a ball at their feet and a dream in their hearts. Today was about honouring that. Every  shilling raised here goes directly to improve the lives of the very communities that produce this  talent. We at iGaming AFRIKA believe that if we are going to build an industry on this continent,  we must build the communities around us at the same time. This is only the beginning, we are  planning to scale this initiative across Africa.” Says Jeremiah Maangi, iGaming AFRIKA

Choplife Gaming: Partners for a Cause

Choplife Gaming joined iGaming AFRIKA as the headline partner for the tournament. As a  licensed gaming and sports betting operator with a growing footprint across East Africa,  Choplife Gaming brought both the spirit of community and the weight of commercial  commitment to the initiative.

“We believe that the gaming industry has a responsibility to invest in the social fabric of the  societies where we operate and sport is one of the most powerful vehicles for that investment.  Sanitation is not a luxury. It is a basic human right, and the fact that so many informal  settlements across the continent lack access to a toilet is something we cannot ignore. This  partnership with iGaming AFRIKA is close to our hearts because it marries the energy of our  industry with a cause that will change real lives. We are proud to be here, and we intend to stay  the course.” Oluwatosin Ajibade, Founder/CEO, Choplife Gaming

The Launch of iGaming AFRIKA’s CSR Programme

Today’s tournament marks the formal launch of iGaming AFRIKA’s CSR arm, a dedicated pillar  of the organisation committed to translating the commercial momentum of Africa’s fast-growing  iGaming sector into measurable social impact. The CSR programme will focus on community

infrastructure, youth empowerment, and local talent development across the continent, with  Kenya serving as the flagship market.

iGaming AFRIKA has committed to making community investment a recurring feature of its  annual conference calendar, with plans to expand the charity tournament format to other cities  across East and West Africa in the coming years.
