Oddsgate Launches Long-Term iGaming Futures Study

Platform provider Oddsgate has unveiled a strategic foresight study, “Gate to 2050,” offering a data-led vision of how the global igaming sector may evolve over the next 25 years. Developed in collaboration with independent consultancy ALVA Research & Consulting, the initiative aims to provide long-range insights for stakeholders navigating an increasingly complex and dynamic regulatory and technological landscape.

The project, initiated in mid-2024, was first introduced at SBC Summit Lisbon and later formally launched during SBC Summit Rio in early 2025. It draws on a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including document analysis, surveys conducted at industry events, and in-depth interviews with 20 experts from across multiple sectors and geographies.

The report outlines three primary objectives: identifying early signals of change, projecting a likely future for the igaming ecosystem through 2050, and informing long-term strategy among operators, regulators, and suppliers. Key areas of focus include artificial intelligence, blockchain, extended reality technologies, predictive CRM systems, digital payments, cybersecurity, and sustainability.

With insights drawn from 21 transactional variables connecting igaming with wider geopolitical, environmental, technological, and social shifts, the study positions itself as a forward-looking resource for industry decision-makers.

According to Oddsgate’s CMO Wagner Fernandes, the research is intended not just as a prediction tool, but as a prompt for industry-wide dialogue on innovation, responsibility, and resilience. The full study is now available on the Oddsgate website.
