Omega Point has partnered with BetComply to prepare the launch of a new skill-based, player-versus-player title that sits outside traditional igaming and gambling regulation in most jurisdictions but still requires a structured compliance approach. The game will allow players to compete directly against each other for real money stakes, positioning it within the wider real-money gaming ecosystem rather than conventional igaming or sportsbook frameworks.
Because the product is designed as a skill-based experience, its regulatory status differs from that of standard casino or igaming content. However, Omega Point is working with BetComply to ensure that appropriate regulatory positioning, operational safeguards and internal controls are in place ahead of launch. The advisory work covers areas such as jurisdictional risk assessment, product classification, terms and conditions, and oversight mechanisms intended to demonstrate that the game operates within applicable legal boundaries.
BetComply continues to work with developers and operators across igaming and adjacent real-money verticals, focusing on helping new product categories reach market with compliance frameworks built in from the outset. For Omega Point, the partnership is aimed at supporting a controlled rollout of the new title while addressing regulatory expectations around transparency, fair competition and player protection, even where the product does not fall under traditional gambling licences.
Andrew Bernhardt, CEO at Omega Point, said: “From the outset, we wanted to approach this product in the right way. Even though our game sits outside conventional gambling definitions in many markets, that doesn’t remove the need for strong structure and accountability. BetComply brings a level of clarity and experience that allows us to move forward with confidence as we prepare to launch.”
Mike de Graaff, Chief Compliance Officer at BetComply, said: “Skill-based, real-money PvP products are an area where innovation is moving faster than regulation. Our role is to help developers like Omega Point build solid frameworks early, so they are ready to scale responsibly and adapt as markets evolve.”
