Playbook Engineering Appoints Jonathan Chilton as New COO

Playbook Engineering has fortified its executive lineup with the induction of Jonathan Chilton into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This strategic move follows a trend of key appointments within Playbook, notably the inclusion of Luke Cousins as Commercial Director earlier in July.

Chilton boasts an impressive 19-year tenure in the industry. He transitions to Playbook from GM Gaming Limited, an entity under the Betway group and affiliated with Super Group/SGHC. During his stint there, Chilton held an array of titles, spanning CEO/COO, Operations Director, and Executive Director.

Additionally, Chilton’s professional journey includes a 12-year tenure at Osiris Trading, a Johannesburg-based company, where he contributed in multiple capacities.

As Playbook escalates its global igaming initiatives, Chilton’s comprehensive expertise in operational oversight, strategic management, and compliance will undoubtedly be instrumental.

This pivotal appointment further solidifies Playbook Engineering’s stature in the global sports and casino arena, driven by its advanced technological solutions and commitment to delivering an unparalleled player experience.

Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan Chilton, COO at Playbook, said: “I am delighted to join Playbook at such a critical point in their journey and am very excited about contributing to the company’s strategy and ambition to take their platform global.

“I have inherited an amazing team from my predecessor and hope to build on its success and potential, but also looking at maturing regulated markets such as in the US or Ontario, which can be difficult markets to penetrate but ultimately very valuable.”
