Playbook Fusion has secured a supplier licence from the UK Gambling Commission, enabling the studio to distribute its content within one of the world’s most established igaming markets.
With this authorisation, Playbook Fusion can now offer its flagship title, Playbook Football™, to UK-licensed operators for the first time. The game introduces a new form of sports-themed interactive betting that merges elements of mobile and video gaming with traditional wagering mechanics.
Launched in June 2024, Playbook Fusion aims to create a new category within igaming, offering immersive sports content that blends strategy, gameplay, and real-money betting. Playbook Football™ invites players to build squads, compete in matches, climb league tables, and place strategic bets, all within a gamified environment.
UK operators with existing RGS integrations through Games Global will have priority access to the title, allowing for early adoption of the studio’s innovative approach to sports betting content. The licence marks a significant step in Playbook Fusion’s expansion strategy as it seeks to establish a foothold in regulated markets.
Steve Rogers, Founder and CEO of Playbook Fusion, said: “Securing our licence from the UK Gambling Commission is a key moment for Playbook Fusion, granting us access to one of the most established online gambling markets in the world.
“Being able to satisfy the stringent criteria set out by the UKGC is a testament to the strength of the team which we have built at Playbook Fusion and, to achieve this milestone within such a short time period, is an accomplishment that we’re incredibly proud of.”
