Playtech and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) have announced a multiyear collaboration aimed at advancing sustainable gambling practices through the use of cutting-edge technology. This partnership will bring together Playtech and UNLV’s International Gaming Institute (IGI) to explore key areas of mutual interest, leveraging the deep expertise of both organisations.
Founded in 1994, UNLV’s IGI offers research-based solutions and education to the global gaming industry. A key focus of this collaboration will be applying AI and machine learning to foster safer and more responsible gambling. Playtech has committed funding to an IGI-led project that explores how AI can train chatbots to promote responsible betting behaviours, particularly among sports bettors. Playtech is also backing an internship within IGI’s Center for Gaming Innovation, supporting the first Gaming Manufacturing Internship Program.
This partnership reflects the ongoing efforts to harness technology for the benefit of the gaming industry, ensuring a safer and more sustainable future for players worldwide.
