Playtech Secures Partnership with Veikkaus to Enhance Finnish Live Casino Offering
Playtech, a leading provider in the igaming industry, has been selected as the successful bidder in a competitive Public Procurement Process to supply Live casino games to Veikkaus, the Finnish state-owned gaming operator. This marks a significant development in the partnership between Playtech and Veikkaus, extending their existing cooperation to include Live casino games for the first time.
The newly established long-term framework agreement, initially set for six years with an option to extend, builds on a foundation of collaboration across various gaming sectors, including online casino, online poker, retail VLT machines, and a casino management system. This expansion into the Live casino segment underscores the strength of the partnership and Playtech’s prominence in the Nordic market.
Under the terms of the partnership, Veikkaus will introduce Playtech’s network Live games and exclusive content from a newly developed Veikkaus-branded studio. Playtech will facilitate the establishment and operation of this studio within one of its main facilities, working closely with Veikkaus’ teams to design a space that reflects the operator’s brand and strategy. The studio, set to feature Finnish-speaking dealers, will initially offer blackjack and roulette tables, aiming to deliver a localized and immersive gaming experience to Finnish players.
