Better Change (Gibraltar) Limited has announced the appointment of Rob Mabbett as the company’s new Engagement Director. Mabbett brings over 11 years of experience in the gambling industry, having worked for BETFRED and earning the status of Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of the Year in 2016. More recently, Mabbett has contributed to the support of those severely affected by gambling harm as the Director of External Engagement at Gordon Moody, the UK’s leading treatment provider. His appointment is expected to strengthen relationships between operators and the safer gambling community.

Better Change is proud to maintain its partnership with Gordon Moody, with plans to grow and develop the collaboration between the two organizations in the coming years. Founded in 2021 by two individuals who met at Harvard Business School, Better Change aims to make a difference in the igaming industry by challenging the status quo and building on existing safer gambling initiatives.

With positive play at the core of its mission, Better Change is dedicated to promoting safer and responsible gambling for all consumers of gambling products, as well as highlighting the commendable work already being done within the industry.

“It is such an honour for Better Change to have someone of Rob’s calibre join us. This senior role will see Rob take control of our strategic direction as well as build on the phenomenal growth we’ve seen over the past two years. Rob’s passion, humility and experience is second to none and I am thrilled to welcome him to our team.” Said Victoria Reed, Founder, Better Change.

“The past five years at Gordon Moody have been nothing short of incredible and I am delighted to be leaving them in a hugely strong position and wish them nothing but the very best as I look to focus my efforts slightly further upstream with Better Change. The opportunity to still be able to continue working in the sector alongside Gordon Moody, while spreading my wings and joining an organisation who have managed to disrupt the industry with professionalism, innovation and a fresh perspective, is an exciting challenge. I’m very excited to get stuck in and to be a part of the next chapter in the Better Change story.” said Rob Mabbett.
