The Mill Adventure Secures Portugal Approval to Expand in Europe

The Mill Adventure has completed the homologation of its iGaming platform in Portugal, expanding its footprint across regulated European markets.

The approval was granted following a detailed compliance process with Portugal’s gambling regulator, the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ), conducted in partnership with one of the company’s operator clients. The homologation confirms that The Mill Adventure’s platform meets the technical and regulatory standards required to operate in the market.

Key compliance measures included enhanced self-exclusion functionality integrated with both operator and national databases, strict IBAN verification processes for anti-money laundering compliance, and a Cod Ficha system to assign unique identifiers for every bet or game round. The platform has also integrated with SRIJ’s public identity database for player verification and employs a certified secure vault for data protection.

This milestone further extends The Mill Adventure’s reach across regulated markets, with Portugal joining Malta, Germany, Ontario, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, and Estonia as approved jurisdictions. The company also operates in Georgia through a local B2B partnership, supporting its strategy to provide scalable and compliant iGaming infrastructure across multiple regions.

Bjørnar Heggernes, The Mill Adventure’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are thrilled to announce that The Mill Adventure’s platform has passed platform homologation in Portugal. This milestone underscores our commitment to delivering scalable, high-performance and fully compliant iGaming solutions across regulated markets.

“Our platform’s features, including real-time data access, automated casino management powered by an AI-driven recommendation engine, and built-in gamification, are designed to empower our partners to swiftly and efficiently enter new markets. We eagerly anticipate supporting our clients in providing engaging and secure gaming experiences to players in Portugal.”
