Alea’s Product and Culture Both Recognised in SBC Europe Award Nominations

In the iGaming business, product and culture are usually treated as two different departments. One is about code and APIs; the other is about HR and office perks. But for Alea, a double shortlisting at the upcoming SBC Awards Europe suggests that the two are actually the same thing.

The company has been named a finalist for both Game Aggregator of the Year and Employer of the Year. The nominations highlight a reality: you can’t build a reliable technical product without a team that has a real sense of ownership over it.

“If people don’t care about what they’re building, it shows immediately. In the product, in the details, everywhere. Reliability can’t be bolted on later, it’s a consequence of that care.”, said Alexandre Tomic, founder of Alea. “We’ve spent years building a team that takes ownership and holds a certain standard. Seeing both nominations together just tells me we’re doing something right.”

The nominations come as Alea prepares for the SBC Summit, where both the founder and COO will be joining the conference sessions on April 29:

  • Casino vs Sports: Can Gamification Truly Cross Over? – Alexandre Tomic, founder
  • The COO Horizon: Challenges and Opportunities in 2026/27 – Ramon Glieneke, COO

The wider Alea team, covering everything from Partnerships to Account Management, Business Development, Partnerships, and Marketing, will be at Booth D22 throughout the summit, ready to meet partners and discuss what’s next for the industry.
