Football has long been part of the culture at EGT. And with the World Cup 2026 capturing the attention of millions around the globe, the company found the perfect moment to bring that spirit to the audience through its new social media initiative – All Eyes on Football: EGT Team Picks.
During the tournament, members of EGT’s football team will share their predictions for selected key matches through a series of social media activations and interactive content, giving audiences the opportunity to compare their own picks with those of the team.
The campaign will follow the natural dynamics and biggest moments of the World Cup, focusing on selected games, football nations and the knockout phases, when excitement and engagement are at their peak.
But behind the predictions stands something much bigger than football itself.
Different professionals. One football team.
The EGT football team was founded back in 2006 and today brings together employees from different departments, professions and levels across the company. Among them are production managers, QA specialists, coordinators, technical experts, supply specialists and administrative employees.
“What started as colleagues gathering to play football after work gradually became an important part of the company culture,” shares Nikolay Georgiev, Production Director at EGT, captain, striker and coach of the EGT football team.
As team captain, Mr. Georgiev has seen firsthand how football helps build connections beyond the workplace. He says: “Football helps us build strong relationships and better communication between different teams. We understand each other more easily, sometimes even without words. Besides being professionals in their respective fields, this initiative will show that we also know how to have fun together while following one of the biggest sporting events in the world.”
Today the team participates in Bulgarian amateur football leagues and tournaments and is well known within the local IT football community, with multiple titles and top finishes over the years.

Over the next few weeks, EGT Team Picks will gradually introduce the people behind the predictions, giving audiences the opportunity to learn more not only about their football opinions, but also about their professional roles, personalities and hobbies outside the office.
