BC.GAME has launched its igaming operations in Nigeria after securing a sports betting and casino licence from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, marking its entry into one of Africa’s developing regulated markets.
The igaming operator has gone live via its local domain, offering a combined sportsbook and casino product suite to Nigerian users. The launch represents BC.GAME’s second regulated market entry, following its previously obtained licence in Kenya, as the company continues to expand its international igaming footprint.
Nigeria’s igaming market has seen sustained growth, supported by increasing internet penetration, a mobile-first user base and rising demand for digital entertainment and betting products. The regulatory framework, overseen at a state level by bodies such as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, has continued to evolve as operators seek formal licences to access the market.
BC.GAME’s igaming offering in Nigeria includes a range of casino titles and sports betting markets, with transactions supported in Nigerian naira. The operator stated that its platform rollout has been accompanied by updates to user interface design, including revised navigation structures, expanded support resources and additional communication around account management and payment processes.
The company has also introduced updates to its transparency measures, including more detailed guidance and explanatory materials related to key platform functions. These adjustments form part of broader efforts across the igaming sector to align product offerings with regulatory expectations and user engagement standards in newly regulated markets.
The Nigerian launch aligns with BC.GAME’s stated strategy of increasing its presence in regulated igaming jurisdictions. In addition to its Nigerian and Kenyan licences, the company holds a licence in Anjouan, as it continues to develop its regulatory positioning across multiple regions.
BC.GAME CEO Kar Kheng Giam said: “User experience today is closely tied to clarity, consistency and transparency. As we expand into new regulated markets such as Nigeria, we are focused on making the platform easier to understand while continuing to improve how we communicate with our users.
“Nigeria is home to one of the most passionate sports fanbases in the world, with a strong culture around football and a rapidly growing interest in digital gaming. This launch allows us to bring those elements together in a market with significant long-term potential.”
