BetMGM Appoints Jarrod Schwarz as Chief Operating Officer

Hire appoint to Board

BetMGM has promoted Jarrod Schwarz to the role of Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position within the business. Previously serving as Chief Product Officer for nearly five years, Schwarz will now oversee product, technology, trading and customer operations.

With more than 20 years of experience in building digital products, Schwarz’s career includes senior roles at Disney, where he helped launch ESPN+, and earlier positions at eBay and Bloomspot.

In addition to the appointment, BetMGM has moved strategy, corporate development and certain business development functions under its finance organisation, led by CFO Gary Deutsch. These changes follow the establishment of dedicated iGaming and sports verticals, headed by Oliver Bartlett and Raymond Doyle respectively.

BetMGM currently operates in 29 markets across the US with mobile and retail offerings. The operator has highlighted responsible gambling as a continuing priority, supported by its GameSense programme and a suite of digital tools integrated into its platforms.

“Jarrod has been an integral part of our incredible team, building BetMGM into one of the most recognizable and successful brands in sports betting and iGaming,” said CEO Adam Greenblatt. “He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our business. I’m confident that this change will ensure we continue to deliver exceptional products and experiences to our players.”

Schwarz said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role. It’s a privilege to continue the incredible journey we’ve been on at BetMGM, building on our momentum in sports betting and iGaming. Together with our exceptionally talented team, I look forward to pushing the boundaries of innovation and strengthening our position as a market leader.”
