BetMGM has partnered with Jogo Global and Banijay Rights to introduce a series of SURVIVOR-branded online casino games to its igaming platform, securing exclusive rights to develop titles based on the television franchise. The rollout aligns with the broadcast of the programme’s 50th season and forms part of BetMGM’s strategy to expand its portfolio of branded igaming content.
Under the agreement, BetMGM will work with Jogo Global to co-create a minimum of ten games based on the SURVIVOR intellectual property. The games will be available through BetMGM Casino across regulated North American markets, with additional marketing and promotional initiatives connected to the partnership.
The initial releases include Survivor Triple Challenge and Survivor – Outwit – Outplay – Outlast, both of which launched this week on the operator’s igaming platform. Additional titles are scheduled to be introduced throughout March, with the franchise expected to become part of BetMGM’s longer-term catalogue of exclusive igaming content.
Banijay Rights, the distribution division of Banijay Entertainment, manages the global licensing rights for the SURVIVOR brand and facilitated the partnership. The television format, created by Charlie Parsons, has become one of the most widely distributed reality television franchises globally, with more than 50 international adaptations and over 400 seasons broadcast worldwide.
BetMGM operates online casino and sports betting services across several regulated jurisdictions in North America. Its igaming platform offers more than 7,000 titles from multiple suppliers and includes a progressive jackpot network spanning more than 25 games. Among the titles available within the network are MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury and 15 Lanterns.
Players using the BetMGM Casino platform can earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits through gameplay, which can be redeemed for digital bonuses or transferred into other loyalty programmes including MGM Rewards Points and Marriott Bonvoy Points.
Alongside the introduction of new igaming content, BetMGM stated that responsible gambling measures remain a central part of its operations. The operator integrates GameSense, a responsible gaming programme developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and licensed to MGM Resorts, into both its mobile and desktop platforms.
SURVIVOR is hosted by Jeff Probst and produced by S.E.G. Holdco., LLC. Executive producers include Mark Burnett, Jeff Probst, Matt Van Wagenen, Kahaia Pearson and Jesse Jensen. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
“SURVIVOR is one of the most successful reality franchises in television history,” said Oliver Bartlett, Vice President of Gaming at BetMGM. “Bringing exclusive SURVIVOR content to our players underscores BetMGM’s commitment to building a legendary powerhouse of entertainment. The show’s instantly recognizable brand and competitive spirit make SURVIVOR a pillar in our growing portfolio of exclusive content.”
Mark Woollard, SVP Gaming and Gambling, Banijay Rights, said, “Jogo is a trusted global partner of Banijay Rights with multiple licenses from our catalogue, so it’s fantastic that they’ve partnered with BetMGM for the North American release of our SURVIVOR IP content. With the release of SURVIVOR’s 50th season this year, we are looking forward to seeing fans finally being able to engage in SURVIVOR casino content.”
David Marcus, CEO, Jogo, said, “As SURVIVOR enters its landmark 50th season, the combination of one of the most iconic franchises in entertainment and the powerhouse that is BetMGM is a perfect match. We’re proud to help bring the strategy, intensity, and competitive spirit of SURVIVOR into real-money gameplay in a way that feels authentic to the brand and compelling for U.S. players.”
