BGaming: The Importance of Cultural Connection and Giving Back

BGaming is not just one of the fastest-growing game developers in the industry — it’s a company redefining what it means to be a modern provider. With a strong focus on co-creation, meaningful partnerships, and social impact, BGaming goes beyond entertainment, using its platform to give back through thoughtful CSR and charity initiatives. We caught up with Kate Puteiko, Chief Marketing Officer at BGaming, to talk about the recent launch of a CSR art project in Brazil, as well as the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala held in Malta.

BGaming’s CSR and charity initiatives demonstrate a clear commitment to giving back. Can you elaborate further on what drives this?

“At BGaming, we firmly believe in the power of community and of championing local success stories. Through our recently launched arts project with A7MA in Brazil and our wider When Art Meets Gaming initiative, we have been able to elevate local talents, help boost their profiles, and bring awareness to important local causes.

“These collaborations have also helped us call attention to the links between art, communities, and iGaming. We are passionate about the industry and believe that it can be an excellent vehicle for creative expression. As a company, we are always looking for new sources of inspiration, and being part of the wider art community can certainly help fuel that. This strong cultural alignment defines our market approach and drives the creation of games that genuinely connect with local audiences.

“We are also driven by a belief that iGaming as an industry can be a force for good. Our recent event that we co-organized in the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala perfectly encapsulates this, with over €200,000 being raised thanks to sponsors, ticket holders, and the art auction.”

Why is supporting emerging talent and providing platforms for their work a priority for BGaming?

“In an increasingly divided world that is always watching over its shoulder at the emergence of new and frightening tech, artistic expression is essential.

“The biggest obstacle for most artists is not talent, it’s exposure. By partnering up with these local artists, we give them a platform to showcase their work and highlight the issues that inspire them to create.

“The communities these artists represent are kind enough to welcome us in, and the least we can do to repay that is allow them to use our platform to their benefit.

“Of course, our collaborative efforts do not just showcase the work of these extraordinary artists, but they also help us immerse ourselves in the vibrant cultures of the countries we operate in. We want to build deeper cultural bonds with these countries and our players there. This celebration of culture is an excellent way for us to give back and to open our eyes to these cultures and the potential inspiration we can draw from them.”

In 2025, BGaming has been actively involved in charitable initiatives. Most recently, you co-organized one of the largest charity events in Malta – the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala. Can you tell us more about the event and its purpose?

“The DAR Bjorn Charity Gala was a landmark event co-organized by BGaming, White Label Casinos, and NEXT.io to support the creation of the new DAR Bjorn Respite Centre that will offer essential care for more people with ALS, MS, and other neurological conditions.

“Nearly 400 guests joined us for an unforgettable evening that blended philanthropy, art, and community spirit. Together, we raised €200,000! BGaming has also donated €20,000 toward the development of a dedicated room at the DAR Bjorn Respite Centre.

“As we strengthen our presence in Malta, we remain focused on making a meaningful contribution to the local community. For BGaming, supporting life-enhancing initiatives is more than a gesture, it’s an integral part of the values and long-term social responsibility approach.”

Are there any messages that BGaming would like to spread to the wider iGaming sector about the importance of charitable giving and social responsibility?

“As a global industry, we have a huge opportunity to give back to global communities. So often, it is easy to attend events, visit the stands, chat with people from the industry, and totally overlook the vibrant cultures and communities that we are visiting and being welcomed into.

“iGaming is an industry with a lot of money and influence, and this can be used to help highlight important issues and make positive changes. We witnessed this first-hand at the recent DAR Bjorn Charity Gala. It was a powerful reminder that the impact can be crucial when our industry unites around a meaningful goal.

“At BGaming, we believe that social responsibility should be embedded into business strategies, not treated as an afterthought. By supporting local initiatives, partnering with nonprofits, or simply being more mindful of the communities we engage with, we can all contribute to shaping a more inclusive and compassionate industry.”
