Caesars Entertainment Finalizes Sale of WSOP® Brand to NSUS Group for US$500M

Caesars Entertainment, Inc. has completed the sale of its intellectual property rights for the World Series of Poker® (WSOP) brand to NSUS Group Inc. for US$500 million (£384 million/€461 million). The transaction includes $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note due in five years, secured by the WSOP intellectual property assets.

Despite the sale, Caesars retains the rights to host the flagship WSOP live tournament series at its Las Vegas venues for the next 20 years and will continue to operate the WSOP Online real-money poker business in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania through a licensing agreement with NSUS. Caesars will also maintain WSOP branding in its brick-and-mortar poker rooms and have preferential rights to host live WSOP Circuit events.

Alongside the acquisition, several key WSOP executives will join NSUS to lead the brand’s new chapter. Ty Stewart will assume the role of CEO for the WSOP subsidiary, with Gregory Chochon as COO and Erik Eidissen as Communications Manager. Together, these seasoned executives bring over 30 years of experience with the WSOP brand to NSUS as it embarks on its next phase of growth and integration.
