Target Aid AB (publ) has agreed to acquire Swedish lotto betting operator Polar Group Technologies AB in a deal that will create a new parent company, ImpactWin Group AB (publ), with a strategic focus on sports, civil society and digital revenue platforms linked to igaming and fundraising. Under the agreement, Target Aid will purchase all shares in Polar Group and its subsidiaries, which together hold two B2B and two B2C licences for commercial gaming in Sweden. The aggregate purchase price is approximately SEK 140 million, equivalent to around EUR 13 million or USD 15 million.
Following completion, Target Aid intends to change its name to ImpactWin Group AB (publ) and act as the parent company of the combined group. The new organisation will aim to position itself as a modern challenger to traditional association and lotto models, offering an integrated digital platform that enables clubs, federations and non-profit organisations to create recurring, sustainable revenue streams. The strategy centres on combining lotto betting products, fundraising solutions and payment flows in a single ecosystem, linking regulated igaming-style products with wider social impact initiatives.
The group will be structured around three main pillars: a platform for the sports and non-profit sector, gaming and lotto betting products with a club focus, and payments and invoicing services. The ImpactWin platform is intended to make it easier for clubs and NGOs to launch campaigns, lotto betting games and subscription-based revenue models without developing their own technology, licences or payment infrastructure. Through its licensed B2B and B2C entities, ImpactWin plans to offer gaming and lotto betting products where part of the surplus is returned to the sports community, while a dedicated payments and invoicing company will manage recurring payments, subscriptions and payouts to clubs and partners in a controlled way.
By combining Polar Group’s capabilities in gaming, lotto betting, customer acquisition and payment flows with Target Aid’s digital fundraising and engagement platform, the new group aims to become a natural partner for clubs and NGOs seeking to increase revenues, reduce administration and meet growing expectations around transparency, accountability and regulatory compliance. ImpactWin Group sees a structural trend where the sports and non-profit sector is seeking more predictable digital income sources, while the gaming and payments industries move towards clearer ESG and social impact objectives. The group plans to grow both organically and through selective acquisitions, with Sweden as its home market and an initial focus on the Nordic region and selected European countries where organised sport and association structures are strong.
The transaction remains subject to customary conditions, including formal shareholder approval for the name change to ImpactWin Group AB (publ) and the implementation of the new group structure. Further information is expected to be provided as the process moves towards completion and the combined igaming, payments and fundraising proposition is rolled out.
“We are very pleased to take this step together with Polar Group. Through ImpactWin Group, we are creating a stronger joint platform to develop modern, digital solutions for sports clubs, NGOs and our partners,” commented Jonas Granat, Chairman of the Board.
“By combining Target Aid’s fundraising platform with Polar Group’s licensed operations, we are building a unique ecosystem where regulated gaming, payments and impact go hand in hand. This creates completely new opportunities for clubs and NGOs to finance their activities in a sustainable way,” added Johan Sundberg, CEO & Head of Partnerships, Polar Group Technologies AB.
