eGaming Integrity has launched a new Safer Gambling Audit Service, offering operators an independent assessment of how their safer gambling controls perform in practice against UK regulatory expectations. The service is designed to provide clear, evidence-based assurance aligned with the UK Gambling Commission’s Social Responsibility Code and Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice, at a time when igaming compliance and governance standards are under increasing scrutiny.
Positioned as a structured audit rather than a high-level review, the service examines how safer gambling is embedded across day-to-day operations, including customer interactions, financial vulnerability checks, governance oversight and internal monitoring. The aim is to give operators a detailed view of whether existing controls are working as intended, where gaps or weaknesses exist and what improvements may be required to strengthen safer gambling frameworks within regulated igaming environments.
Audits are carried out by practitioners with direct experience in internal audit, risk and regulatory compliance. Each engagement typically includes an initial evidence review, targeted fieldwork and a written report setting out areas of effective practice, specific deficiencies and recommended changes. eGaming Integrity positions the new offer as part of a broader assurance and risk-focused portfolio for igaming operators, which also covers mock regulatory assessments, remediation support, internal audit and staff training.
The launch comes as operators look for more structured and transparent ways to evidence governance over safer gambling obligations, particularly in mature igaming markets such as the UK. Regulatory expectations around customer protection and risk management continue to rise, while some third-party certification schemes, including GamCare’s Safer Gambling Standard, approach the end of current delivery timelines. Against this backdrop, eGaming Integrity is among the first firms to bring a fully audit-led safer gambling assurance model to market, reflecting the growing role of independent verification in how operators demonstrate accountability to regulators, investors and wider stakeholders.
Robert Penfold, Head of Internal Audit at eGaming Integrity, said: “Businesses are operating in a regulatory environment that demands clarity, consistency and credible assurance. Our Safer Gambling Audit provides an independent view of how well safer gambling controls are functioning in practice. It gives Boards the information they need to exercise effective oversight. The service has been designed to be practical, proportionate and aligned with the UKGC’s expectations.”
