Euroleague Basketball Teams Up with SPORTPASS for Enhanced Fan Experience

Euroleague Basketball has entered into a partnership with SPORTPASS, a leading fan engagement and gaming platform. This collaboration is set to bolster Euroleague Basketball’s gamification efforts, aligning with its digital strategy to further engage its audience, particularly targeting Generation Z fans. SPORTPASS operates under the umbrella of Animoca Brands, renowned for its extensive involvement in gamification and its significant portfolio of over 400 investments in Web3 projects.

The partnership aims to develop a Euroleague-themed gaming platform that integrates the excitement of sports with digital innovation. This platform will feature a variety of gaming experiences, rewards, in-game collectibles, and more, designed to deepen fan engagement and bring the Euroleague community closer to the action.

Euroleague Basketball has identified gamification as a key component of its digital growth strategy, evidenced by the significant increase in participation in its fantasy games portfolio in 2023. This initiative saw a remarkable year-on-year growth, expanding its community to 4.3 million engaged fans. Through this new partnership with SPORTPASS, Euroleague Basketball is set to further enhance its digital offerings and continue its trajectory of growth in fan engagement.
