Game Developer Jelly Secures Swedish Supplier License

Jelly, the game developer, has recently secured a supplier licence from the Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen. This permit allows Jelly to continue supplying its slot games to licensed operators in Sweden, making it one of the first developers to receive regulatory approval in the country.

This approval is significant as it comes ahead of the expected legislative change that will require all content developers to have regulatory approval to operate in the Swedish market. Jelly’s permit in Sweden adds to the licenses it currently holds in the UK, and it forms part of the company’s wider strategy to expand into regulated markets in Europe and America.

In addition to the supplier licence, Jelly has recently signed a licensing agreement with Big Time Gaming, which will enable the release of a series of Megaways titles. The licensing agreement and the Swedish supplier licence will allow Jelly to increase its presence in the iGaming and casino industry globally.

Phil Collins, Jelly COO said, “We are really happy to be among the first to receive a supplier licence from Spelinspektionen. This is no mean feat for an independent, challenger game developer.

“We have some very strong titles set to roll off our production line in H2, and to be able to make these available to licensed operators in core markets, such as Sweden, is a major driver of growth for the business.

“Operating in regulated markets is key for Jelly; it gives the company further credibility and recognition and opens the door to new operator partnerships.”
