Hong Kong Jockey Club Names Casper Stylsvig Executive Director

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has appointed Casper Stylsvig as Executive Director, Sports Business, effective 15 January 2026. He will join the Club’s Board of Management and report directly to CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges.

Stylsvig will lead the Club’s sports business division, focusing on commercial growth across horse racing, football, lottery, and emerging sporting opportunities. His remit includes expanding both wagering and non-wagering income streams through sponsorships, partnerships, and strategic marketing aimed at broadening audience engagement.

He will also oversee the multi-billion-dollar Racecourse Master Plan and explore new ventures that position Hong Kong racing as a global sports brand.

Stylsvig brings extensive experience from senior commercial roles at major European football clubs, including Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Fulham FC, and AC Milan. At Chelsea, he served as Chief Revenue Officer, where he restructured commercial operations and delivered strong revenue growth.

His appointment forms part of the HKJC’s wider strategy to transform its sports business portfolio and enhance the Club’s position as a global leader in sports and entertainment.

Mr Stylsvig said: “It’s an incredible honour to join The Hong Kong Jockey Club at such an exciting time in its evolution. The Club stands among the world’s most respected sports organisations, combining commercial excellence with a deep social purpose. This role represents a natural progressive next step in my career — bringing together best practices from global football to help shape the future of a truly unique, multi-sport business. I’m looking forward to working with Winfried and the team to drive innovation, expand our international footprint, and create world-class experiences for customers and fans in Hong Kong and beyond.”
